The confounding abundance of ‘solution’-oriented research from social and political sciences make it hard to distinguish any validity in contemporary radical thought about the coming community. An important caesura between the flood of work and the particularities of critical thinking lies in an essential claim that the hypothesis of society-to-come is as of yet dispersed and invisible. To turn to the ‘Left’ (anti-capitalist, alter-globalist thinkers), then, becomes the more acute act of tracing a signification of the widely-shared ideal that aspires to equalitarian society.
